TASTING NOTES

Production

Amarone Quintarelli is the oenological ideal to strive for, a triumph of balance, harmony and beauty. It is made from a blend of Corvina, Rondinella, Cabernet Sauvignon, Nebbiolo, Sangiovese and Croatina. Once ripe, the grapes are selected, harvested and dried. At the end of January, the grapes are pressed and fermented with indigenous yeasts for 45 days. Ageing in Slavonian oak lasts approximately 45 days.

Organoleptic Characteristics

A glass of Amarone Quintarelli is a true delight: the ruby red colour, the gentle notes of fruit, morello cherry, liquorice, cocoa and plum, come together in a dynamic sip, smoothed by integrated, silky and supple tannins.

Occasion and Pairing

A wine for special occasions, to be uncorked when you want to make a guaranteed impression. Ideal when paired with red meat or game, strictly after a brief rest in a decanter. A wine that never ceases to surprise over time.

Serving Temperature

To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a temperature of 16–18°C.

Allergens: Solfiti

THE WINERY

Quintarelli Giuseppe

The company Quintodecimo represents a reality of quality reference of the entire panorama of wines from Campania. The name is a tribute to the ancient history of Mirabella Eclan, during the struggles between the Lombards and the Byzantines, destroyed by the Greek army of Constans II and called Quintum decimum because it is exactly 15 miles from ancient Benevento. Between the tenth and the eleventh century, the town moved on the ridge of the current hill, taking the name of Mirabella Eclano. Luigi Moio, after studying wine research in Burgundy, returned to Italy in the mid-nineties and from 2001, together with his wife Laura, he started the Quintodecimo company. The idea was to create wines that combine human wisdom and technique to a territory of excellence such as Irpinia. Name and address manufacturer/distributor: Quintodecimo - Via San Leonardo, 27 - 83036 Mirabella Eclano (AV). The products of this cellar should be stored in a cool and dry place away from heat sources.
