TASTING NOTES

Production

This Amarone della Valpolicella is produced, as per regulations, from Corvina, Rondinella, and Molinara grapes that grow on limestone hills rich in gravel. After harvesting, the grapes are dried in well-ventilated rooms, following the renowned production technique for Amarone. Once dried, the grapes are crushed and initially fermented before maturing in large barrels and barriques.

Organoleptic Characteristics

Once opened and poured into the glass, the wine reveals an opaque, brilliant red with violet reflections. On the nose, it intrigues us with deep sensations of well-ripened fruit and jam that invite a sip. The palate is characterized by a balance of savoriness, freshness, and soft tannins, giving us a long finish that evokes floral nuances with spicy hints."

Occasion and Pairing

Ideal for being served at the table and enjoyed with red meats, cheeses, and flavorful dishes.

Serving Temperature

To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a temperature of 16–18°C.

THE WINERY

Bennati

After Antonio Bennati, known as Toni Recioto, a nickname derived from the dried grape wine of the same name, had spent 50 years trading wine in famous straw flasks, his son Annibale founded the Cantine Bennati in 1920 in Cazzano di Tramigna, which today still offers the best wines from the Valtramigna area of Veneto. It is a winery in continuous evolution. New crushing machinery and a new logistics centre ensure efficiency and speed to meet demand. Bennati also has new vineyards where it is implementing plans to reassess the traditional production techniques of its wines. These plans also aim to enhance the offer, limiting production of high quality wines, which can transmit the values of the land with their scents and aromas. The excellence of the Valtramigna production area is an important factor that contributes to the production of some of the most renowned red and white wines of the Veneto region. These include lines of great prestige such as Valpolicella, Amarone, Lugana and Soave. Name and address of producer/distributor: Bennati - Via Legnaghi Corradini, 38 37030 Cazzano di Tramigna VR. Products from this winery should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
