Production

Marion's Amarone della Valpolicella is a great Veneto red wine aged in small Slavonian oak barrels and made from Corvina, Rondinella, Croatina, and other grape varieties permitted in the production regulations of the area.

Organoleptic Characteristics

It has a splendid intense ruby color that is slightly opaque. On the nose, it is an explosion of aromas of fruit in spirit, sour cherries, and balsamic notes, followed by a waft of spicy and underbrush sensations. The taste is intense and characterful, where warmth and softness are well balanced by a solid acidity and a tannic structure of great elegance. It finishes with long fruity echoes.

Occasion and Pairing

A wine to showcase during Sunday lunch, perhaps with a delicious braised wild boar.

Serving Temperature

To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a temperature of 16–18°C.

The small Marion Winery is a family-run business that, thanks to the commitment and passion of its members, has managed to establish itself as an important reference point in the production of high-quality Veneto wines. It is located, to be precise, east of Verona, and since its foundation it has set itself the delicate goal of enhancing the unique characteristics of its terroir, always respecting tradition and the oldest techniques for creating wines of excellence. Among the most renowned end products are certainly the Valpolicella and the Amarone: a unique and precious result, capable of telling the story of the Veneto region and the winery's own philosophy in every glass. Constant care and attention to all stages of wine production is one of the company's priorities. The vineyards are managed with care and attention, and safeguarding the natural balance of the plants is a fundamental condition, carried through to bottling.
