Production

Marion’s Amarone della Valpolicella is a great Venetian red wine aged in small Slavonian oak barrels and produced from Corvina, Rondinella, Croatina and other grape varieties permitted under the region’s production regulations.

Organoleptic Characteristics

It has a splendid, intense ruby colour with little transparency. On the nose, it is an explosion of aromas of fruit preserved in alcohol, morello cherry and balsamic notes, followed by a bouquet of spicy and undergrowth sensations. The palate is intense and full of character, where warmth and smoothness are well balanced by a good acidity and a tannic structure of great elegance. It finishes with long, fruity notes.

Occasion and Pairing

A wine to show off at Sunday lunch, perhaps with a lovely wild boar stew.

Serving Temperature

To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a temperature of 16–18°C.
