TASTING NOTES

Tradition and passion, Terlano winery with its selection of white and red wines, best represents the characteristics of the territory. Terlaner Grande Cuvée is a wine that tells the centuries-old tradition, which brings together the excellence of the finest vines and crus. This Terlaner is represented by 72% Pinot Blanc, 28% Chardonnay and 2% Sauvignon Blanc grapes that follow delicate pressing in whole bunch; clarification of the must and natural cold sedimentation. If it then performs a slow fermentation in large oak barrels, malolactic fermentation and aging for 12 months on lees in traditional wooden barrels. Grande Cuvée is presented to the glass with a brilliant straw yellow color; rich and complex is expressed with aromas of citrus, white pepper, aromatic herbs and a delicate smoky note. Its elegance and excellent balance rest on a fine and important structure and a refined texture, which give it a unique character. Its exceptional persistence not only describes a simple pleasantness, but above all represents the purest expression of a mineral terroir unique in the world. It can accompany a slice of bonito in cooking oil, or, for a combination of soil, rabbit stew with olives. THE WINERY

Terlano

Cantina di Terlano was founded towards the end of the 19th century and has since distinguished itself as one of the most progressive winegrowers' cooperatives in the whole of Alto Adige. The commitment and hard work of its members has been pursued with passion, always keeping faith with their traditions, to ensure the production of wines from Alto Adige that best represent the characteristics of the region. Today, the members of the winery cultivate around 165 hectares of vineyards, with an annual production of more than one million bottles per year. Such a large production can count on the valuable support of a dense network of knowledge and know-how handed down from generation to generation, and the constant study of the most modern techniques. Only DOC wines are matured in the current company, divided between 30% of red wines and 70% of white wines, presented to the public in three different lines: the Selections, the Vineyards and the Classics.
