TASTING NOTES

Production

After careful selection of the hand-picked grapes, they are gently pressed and fermented for 7–8 months, with 80% in stainless steel and the remainder in wood. Energy value per 100 ml: E=329 kJ/79 kcal

Organoleptic Characteristics

It presents a straw-yellow colour with greenish hues and good body. The nose opens with notes of ripe yellow fruit, apricot and passion fruit, enlivened by a touch of mandarin. From this fruit basket emerge subtle hints of elderflower and gooseberry. On the palate, the flavours mirror the nose and there is considerable body; aromatic notes and minerality envelop the mouth, finishing with an interesting savoury note that is never overpowering.

Occasion and Pairing

WINKL is the ideal everyday wine to enjoy with raw scampi or tuna tartare. It pairs well with cheeses, even those that are not overly mature, or with a lovely plate of canederli.

Serving Temperature

To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a temperature of 12–14°C.

Allergens: Solfiti

THE WINERY

Terlano

Cantina di Terlano was founded towards the end of the 19th century and has since distinguished itself as one of the most progressive winegrowers' cooperatives in the whole of Alto Adige. The commitment and hard work of its members has been pursued with passion, always keeping faith with their traditions, to ensure the production of wines from Alto Adige that best represent the characteristics of the region. Today, the members of the winery cultivate around 165 hectares of vineyards, with an annual production of more than one million bottles per year. Such a large production can count on the valuable support of a dense network of knowledge and know-how handed down from generation to generation, and the constant study of the most modern techniques. Only DOC wines are matured in the current company, divided between 30% of red wines and 70% of white wines, presented to the public in three different lines: the Selections, the Vineyards and the Classics. Name and address of producer/distributor: Terlano - via Silberleiten, 7, 39018 Terlano (BZ). Products from this winery should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
