Tradition and passion: the Terlano winery, with its selection of white and red wines, best represents the characteristics of the region. The Alto Adige Vorberg Riserva is made from a harvest of 100% Pinot Bianco grapes, which are hand-selected before undergoing gentle whole-bunch pressing and natural sedimentation. This is followed by slow, temperature-controlled fermentation in large oak barrels and malolactic fermentation, with ageing for 12 months on the fine lees in traditional wooden barrels. In the glass, Vorberg presents a bright straw-yellow colour with greenish highlights. The bouquet is varied and richly layered on the nose, with ripe fruity notes of melon, white peach, pear and Delizia apple, alongside aromas of quince jelly, chamomile and pineapple, complemented by mineral notes of flint. The combination of fruity, aromatic and savoury flavours is also evident on the palate. The compact structure, with an elegant creaminess, blends into a very aromatic, persistent and distinctly mineral finish.
It is ideal with spicy fish soup, peppered mussels or spaghetti allo scoglio, but it is also interesting paired with mussels au gratin, grilled cuttlefish or char, and goes well with Roman-style artichokes with mature pecorino, or aged Parmesan with mostarda.
To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a temperature of 12–14°C.
