TASTING NOTES

Production

It is simple in production, undergoing only a seven-month ageing on fine lees in stainless steel before bottling, yet it surprises when tasted. The colour is unsurprising—straw yellow with greenish highlights—but it is the nose that leaves one in awe. Energy value per 100 ml: E=321 kJ/77 kcal

Organoleptic Characteristics

Delicate yet complex, with notes ranging from white fruit, pear and apple, some floral hints, then chamomile and light accents of lemongrass. The bouquet is subtle yet complex. After the first sip, the terroir comes through with a distinct savouriness that blends with the unobtrusive freshness of the highly mineral and volcanic soils.

Occasion and Pairing

A mountain wine that pairs perfectly with fish, but also works well with fish starters or tuna carpaccio.

Serving Temperature

To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a temperature of 12–14°C.

Allergens: Solfiti

THE WINERY

Terlano

Cantina di Terlano was founded towards the end of the 19th century and has since distinguished itself as one of the most progressive winegrowers' cooperatives in the whole of Alto Adige. The commitment and hard work of its members has been pursued with passion, always keeping faith with their traditions, to ensure the production of wines from Alto Adige that best represent the characteristics of the region. Today, the members of the winery cultivate around 165 hectares of vineyards, with an annual production of more than one million bottles per year. Such a large production can count on the valuable support of a dense network of knowledge and know-how handed down from generation to generation, and the constant study of the most modern techniques. Only DOC wines are matured in the current company, divided between 30% of red wines and 70% of white wines, presented to the public in three different lines: the Selections, the Vineyards and the Classics. Name and address of producer/distributor: Terlano - via Silberleiten, 7, 39018 Terlano (BZ). Products from this winery should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
