TASTING NOTES

Production

The winemaking process takes place in stainless steel with careful daily pump-overs to enhance the extraction of aromas and tannins from the skins. Aging and malolactic fermentation occur in large French oak barrels for at least six months.

Organoleptic Characteristics

Lagrein Rubeno DOC, with a garnet red color, expresses in the glass aromas of underbrush fruit such as blackberries and black currants, along with notes of violet.

Its structured and persistent flavor allows for pairing with cured meats and cold cuts, as well as meat-based pasta dishes or mushroom risotto.

The small cooperative in Andriano, a centre on the west side of the Etschtal, is located directly opposite the village of Terlano. Cooperation with the Terlano winery has resulted in a series of wines with a unique character, characterised by a very different soil and climate. Calcareous soils and cooler average temperatures give wines of good concentration but great supporting acidity.
