Cantina di Andriano was founded in 1893, when the winegrowers of this area had the courage to join forces to establish the first social winery in South Tyrol. In 2008, the winery took another important step by merging with the renowned Cantina di Terlano, located on the other side of the Adige Valley. Today, the two wineries retain their differences and peculiarities, preserving the potential of their terroir, but each treasuring the qualities of the other. Andriano is located on the valley floor where the mild climate, cool breeze, long daylight hours, and the presence of limestone and porphyry and chalky rock create excellent acidity and flavour development in the grapes, guaranteeing quality and refinement. The Cantina di Andriano’s continuous improvement process and its ability to interpret each terroir at its best, deliver the right energy to search for new ways to reinterpret traditions and project them into the future. Like all the wines from this winery, which portray the unrivalled peculiarities of these vineyards thanks to their flavours and aromas, Andriano's Gewürztraminer, with its golden robe, presents the classic aromatic range of this grape variety: drinkers are treated to yellow rose, ripe peach, pineapple, and lively lashings of minerality. Firmly structured and warm on the palate, yet backed by a sharp freshness and lively full flavour. Persistent and very intense finish. Perfect paired with a seafood risotto, or white meat dishes.
