Valpolicella Ripasso

Valpolicella Ripasso is a DOC (Protected Designation of Origin) Veneto red wine produced in Valpolicella in the province of Verona, from native vines such as Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella. A medium-bodied wine, Valpolicella Ripasso is created by refermenting the base Valpolicella with the residual pomace of Amarone and Recioto using the ripasso technique. This gives the wine increased tannins, alcohol, and polyphenolic extracts: a full-bodied wine, with a marked roundness and excellent longevity.
