Rosso di Montalcino DOC (Protected Designation of Origin) is the denomination of the famous DOCG (Controlled and Guaranteed Designation of Origin) Brunello di Montalcino, only produced in the municipality of Montalcino. Rosso di Montalcino is produced from Sangiovese Grosso grapes which grow in Montalcino in Siena, located in south-eastern Tuscany. This Tuscan red wine is appreciated for its fragrance and freshness, as the fermentation gives it a primary fruity aroma and more structured tertiary aromas.
