TASTING NOTES

Erpacrife is a young winery specialised in producing Metodo Classico sparkling wine, located in Castagnole delle Lance, in the province of Asti. The company name is an acronym of four friends: Erik, Paolo, Cristian and Federico. The sons of wine producers, they met at school and decided to start producing a particular sparkling wine made with different grapes to those traditionally used for making sparkling wine. Metodo Classico Dosaggio Zero Nebbiolo is produced with 100% Nebbiolo grapes. After cryo-maceration of the grapes, alcoholic fermentation follows at low temperatures. Part of the base fermentation is completed in wood. In spring, the second fermentation takes place in the bottle. After resting on the lees in the bottle for at least 24 months, the wine is finally disgorged and uncorked. A brilliant soft pink colour with fine and persistent perlage. Excellent intensity and complexity, with hints of yeast emerging, and pastry notes. Intense and firmly structured in the mouth. Excellent as an aperitif, to accompany fish starters, shellfish, or try it with sea bream on creamed potatoes. Read more Read less
THE WINERY

Erpacrife

Ert1050 was born as a project in which the cellar, architecture and territory coincide, merging into a single coherent story deeply linked to the mountains. The structure is designed to dialogue with the plateau that hosts it: the volumes fit discreetly into the landscape, the green covering attenuates its visual impact and the chosen materials directly recall the surrounding environment. The productive heart of the winery is located on the lower floor, partially underground, dedicated to winemaking and refining. It is a collected, essential and silent space, where natural light is minimized to accompany the slow and natural times of the wine, promoting concentration, balance and respect for the raw material. On the upper floor, the tasting and exhibition room opens onto the landscape with large windows overlooking the Brentonico plateau. Conceived as a true "telescope," these openings directly connect visitors with the vineyards and the surrounding environment, making the area an integral part of the experience. Every detail of the interior, from the use of wood with colors ranging from deep green to autumn orange, recalls the cycle of the seasons, the forest and mountain life, strengthening the sensorial link between space, nature and wine. Ert1050 is also expressed through its first Trentodoc DOC Trento Spumante Metodo Classico Brut, obtained from 100% Chardonnay grapes and aged for 24 months on the lees. The wine has a straw yellow color with greenish reflections, a fine and persistent perlage and a fresh and lively profile that authentically interprets the altitude, terroir and challenge of mountain viticulture. Name and address manufacturer/distributor: Ert1050 - Località Seandre, 3, 38060 Brentonico TN. Winery products should be stored in a cool, dry place, away from heat sources.
