We are in Oltrepò Pavese, in the most south-western tip of Lombardy, where Pinot Noir reigns supreme. Here, the Monsupello winery has around 50 hectares of vineyards cultivated to have low yields per hectare, it is constantly evolving according to current market requirements and is well-determined to continue the journey started by Carlo, based on quality objectives that over time have brought it to reach the top of Italian wine production, with numerous awards from the various guides. Monsupello Brut is a Metodo Classico sparkling wine from Lombardy that is perfect for an aperitif with friends. It is produced using Pinot Noir grapes and a small amount of Chardonnay, with ageing on the lees for at least 30 months. It is straw yellow in colour with greenish reflections. The perlage is of excellent persistence and elegant finesse. On the nose there are hints of red berry fruits, bread and pomegranate. In the mouth it is agile with a fine, soft bubble. The wine has good length. Dreamy with a langoustine and orange tartare.
