TASTING NOTES

Production

Perhaps Jermann’s most iconic label, and certainly one of the most prestigious in Friuli-Venezia Giulia, this white wine takes its name from Tunina, the former owner of the vineyard where the grapes used to make it are grown. There are five grape varieties: Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Ribolla Gialla, Malvasia Istriana and Picolit, some of which are harvested late. It is a true blend: the varieties ferment together in stainless steel, then part of the wine is transferred to large wooden barrels for ageing.

Organoleptic Characteristics

The result is magnificent: a brilliant colour with golden highlights, heralding a broad nose built on honey, fresh flowers and exotic fruit. The palate is dry yet wonderfully smooth and exceptionally long-lasting.

Occasion and Pairing

A wine for special occasions, where it can be paired with elaborate fish dishes, white meats and vegetables, right through to truffle-infused pasta dishes.

Serving Temperature

To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a temperature of 10–12°C.

Allergens: Solfiti

THE WINERY

Jermann

Since its foundation at the end of the 19th century, Cantina Jermann's mission has been to enhance the ancient winegrowing traditions of the Friulian countryside. Knowledge of cultivation was handed down from generation to generation until the 1970s, when the founder's disciple was able to combine the study of the most modern techniques with his own ingenious inventiveness. Genius and unruliness, combined with passion and study, has taken the company to the top of the Italian and world wine scene. Another feature of the winery's process is the focus on organic and sustainable viticulture, to reconcile the art of viticulture with respect for the land and the vine times. The company talks to the world every day, but the focus always remains on the concrete things that make a wine great, including the oldest traditions. The end result will give you an extraordinary experience, and allow you to discover the authentic flavour of Friuli wine in a glass. Name and address of producer/distributor: Jermann- Località Trussio Ruttars, 11A, 34070 Ruttars, Dolegna del Collio GO. Products from this winery should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
