TASTING NOTES

Production

The Schioppettino Venezia Giulia from Bressan is born in the historic vineyards of eastern Friuli, the chosen territory for this indigenous grape variety with a strong character. The grapes are harvested manually at full ripeness and vinified according to the traditional philosophy of the winery, which favors minimal interventions and long natural times. Fermentation takes place with prolonged maceration on the skins, to extract aromatic intensity and structure, without compromising their elegance. The aging takes place in traditional containers, where the wine evolves slowly, developing complexity and depth of expression, a faithful interpreter of the territory of origin.

Organoleptic Characteristics

On the nose it stands out for an intense and spicy profile, with evident notes of black pepper, ripe berries, blackberry and currant, accompanied by hints of medicinal herbs, leather and light balsamic nuances. On the palate it is full and vigorous, with thick and well-integrated tannins, a good freshness and a long persistence that allows the typical spicy and slightly wild sensations to emerge.

Occasion and Pairing

Wine with strong personality, ideal for moments of conscious tasting and to accompany structured dishes. It pairs perfectly with grilled red meats, braised meats, game, stews and aged cheeses.

Serving Temperature

To best enhance its structure and aromatic complexity, a service temperature of 16/18°C is recommended.

THE WINERY

Bressan

Bressan is a reference name for those looking for authentic wines faithful to the Friulian tradition. The winery, with ancient roots in the heart of Friuli Venezia Giulia, has for generations carried out a family project driven by a passion for the area and a desire to guard its identity. The company stands out for a rigorous production philosophy, which favors natural practices in the vineyard and minimal interventions in the cellar, with the aim of enhancing the unique character of each native vine. The vineyards extend among the most suitable areas of the region, on soils rich in minerals which give the wines complexity and longevity. Among the cultivated varieties, a central role is reserved for historic Friulian vines, such as Friulano, Verduzzo, Schioppettino and Pignolo, flanked by international grapes that find an original interpretation here. The meticulous care of the vineyards, combined with low yields and a nature-friendly approach, allows us to obtain healthy and concentrated grapes, the basis of wines with a strong personality. Winemaking takes place without technological shortcuts: spontaneous fermentations, no filtration and long refinements in oak barrels, which contribute to giving structure and elegance. Each Bressan bottle tells a story of authenticity, tradition and indissoluble bond with the Friulian land. Name and address producer/distributor: Azienda Agricola Bressan - via Conti Zoppini, 35, 34072 Farra d'Isonzo (GO). The cellar products should be stored in a cool, dry place, away from heat sources.
