TASTING NOTES

Production

Pinot Noir Venezia Giulia from Bressan is born in the hilly vineyards of eastern Friuli, in an ideal soil and climate context to express the most authentic and territorial side of this delicate grape variety. Pinot Noir grapes are harvested manually at full maturity and vinified according to the winery's philosophy, respectful of natural times and the integrity of the fruit. Fermentation takes place with traditional macerations, without forcing, to extract structure and complexity without distorting varietal elegance. The aging continues in traditional containers, where the wine finds balance and depth, maintaining a strong artisanal and territorial identity.

Organoleptic Characteristics

On the nose it opens with intense, layered aromas of small ripe red fruits, cherry and raspberry, followed by darker notes of undergrowth, delicate spices and light earthy hints. With oxygenation, balsamic nuances and a slightly smoky touch emerge. On the palate it is enveloping and deep, with fine but present tannins, a beautiful freshness and a long and harmonious persistence that recalls the olfactory sensations.

Occasion and Pairing

Wine of character and personality, it lends itself to be tasted during important lunches and dinners. Ideal in combination with not too elaborate red meats, roasts, noble poultry, light game and mushroom or truffle dishes.

Serving Temperature

To best appreciate its complexity and balance, a service temperature of 16/18°C is recommended.

THE WINERY

Bressan

Bressan is a reference name for those looking for authentic wines faithful to the Friulian tradition. The winery, with ancient roots in the heart of Friuli Venezia Giulia, has for generations carried out a family project driven by a passion for the area and a desire to guard its identity. The company stands out for a rigorous production philosophy, which favors natural practices in the vineyard and minimal interventions in the cellar, with the aim of enhancing the unique character of each native vine. The vineyards extend among the most suitable areas of the region, on soils rich in minerals which give the wines complexity and longevity. Among the cultivated varieties, a central role is reserved for historic Friulian vines, such as Friulano, Verduzzo, Schioppettino and Pignolo, flanked by international grapes that find an original interpretation here. The meticulous care of the vineyards, combined with low yields and a nature-friendly approach, allows us to obtain healthy and concentrated grapes, the basis of wines with a strong personality. Winemaking takes place without technological shortcuts: spontaneous fermentations, no filtration and long refinements in oak barrels, which contribute to giving structure and elegance. Each Bressan bottle tells a story of authenticity, tradition and indissoluble bond with the Friulian land. Name and address producer/distributor: Azienda Agricola Bressan - via Conti Zoppini, 35, 34072 Farra d'Isonzo (GO). The cellar products should be stored in a cool, dry place, away from heat sources.
