Production

Skerlj's Venezia Giulia Malvasia is produced in the hills of the Karst, from Malvasia grapes grown in a territory characterised by limestone soils and significant temperature variations. The grapes are harvested by hand, with careful selection of the bunches. The winemaking follows a natural and respectful approach, with skin maceration allowing the wine to develop greater structure and complexity. Ageing further enhances its authentic, terroir-driven character, resulting in an intense white wine with a distinctive personality.

Organoleptic Characteristics

In the glass, it shows an intense golden-yellow colour, with hues that may develop towards amber. The nose is broad and complex, offering aromas of white and yellow flowers, citrus fruits and ripe fruit, complemented by delicate aromatic and spicy notes. On the palate, it is structured, enveloping and savoury, with a pleasant mineral character and freshness leading to a long and persistent finish. Its distinctive character and aromatic richness make it a wine of great personality.

Occasion and Pairing

A wine to be enjoyed slowly and shared over a special dinner. Thanks to its structure and intensity, it pairs particularly well with flavourful seafood dishes, shellfish, spicy Asian cuisine, white meat and aged cheeses.
