Agriturismo Skerlj is a little piece of paradise in the Trieste Karst in Friuli Venezia Giulia, a limestone area unique for its history and nature. Kristina and Matej work with their parents on the family farm, producing wine that offers a combination of the history and flavours of the terroir of Venezia Giulia. True to the traditions passed down from their grandparents, the family still takes care of the entire process of making Skerlj wines, from growing healthy vines to actual production in their cellars. In this area perfect for relaxing, surrounded by beautiful and quiet landscapes, the small farm produces the traditional white wines of Friuli Venezia Giulia with the processes and authenticity of yesteryear. Malvasia, Vitovska and Teran, the three wines created in the Skerlj cellars dug into the stone, with a constant humidity level, bottled without filters, a direct transition from the vines to the bottling.
