Rosso Alzero di Quintarelli is an IGT denomination wine made from Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes. The name of this wine derives from the homonymous portion of land, located next to the estate of the company today valued in order to create an Italian and Venetian excellence. The grapes are grown on the first hills of Negrar, where the soil is basaltic limestone and the exposure of the vineyards give the wine its distinctive organoleptic characteristics. The harvest involves a careful selection of the best bunches, which are then transferred to the fruit and placed to rest in small wooden crates and on mats. The high temperatures allow it to dry and expel water, maintaining a higher concentration of aromatic substances and anthocyanins. At the end of December the wine is pressed and then fermented with native yeasts. Aging continues for 30 months in French oak barrels and a further 30 months in a single medium-sized Slavonian oak barrel. Intense red in color to the glass, Alzero di Quintarelli Veneto IGT on the nose gives off elegant aromas of ripe fruit, wood and vanilla in the finish. The good structure allows a perfect match with pasta dishes based on truffles, braised meat and game. To fully appreciate the style, Alzero must be served at a service temperature of 16/18 ºC.
