TASTING NOTES

Production

Valle d'Aosta Fumin is made from native Fumin grapes grown in the mountain vineyards of the Aosta Valley, often on moraine and sandy soils at high altitudes. The harvest is manual and the winemaking takes place in steel with macerations on the skins to extract color and structure. The refinement can take place in steel and partly in wood, helping to give complexity without losing freshness and typicality. 100 ml: E=289 kJ/69 kcal

Organoleptic Characteristics

THE WINERY

Les Cretes

The Les Cretes company was founded in 1989 in Aymavilles, in Valle d’Aosta, and is now run by the Charrère family. Five generations of history and tradition, the winery is distinguished by a quest for extreme quality from the work in the vineyard to the attention in the winery where territory and variety are enhanced and emphasised in the bottle. The grapes cultivated are the main indigenous varieties of the region and some international varieties, such as Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The agronomic management of the vineyards is based on respect for the environment through the enhancement of the terroir, with a view to organic and sustainable viticulture, combining traditional cultivation techniques with innovation and technological research. The wines from the Les Cretes winery come from a cold, rocky, mountain microclimate, where work is carried out with the utmost care and attention, in a continuous quest for quality. Name and address of producer/distributor: Les Cretes Soc. Agr. Strada Regionale 20, 50, 11010 Aymavilles (AO). Products from this winery should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
