TASTING NOTES

Cantina Podere Fortuna is a small company situated between the hills of Mugello, on the side of the Tuscan–Emilian Apennines. The climate in this area is unique with a terroir suited to the production of fine Tuscan wines. Pinot Nero IGT Fortuni follows the company philosophy: organic style, fermentation in temperature-controlled truncated conical vats from 18 to 25 days and aged in lightly toasted oak barriques for one year. Resting the wine in concrete after ageing allows it to become clearer and stabilised, through natural means. Fortuni, which in turn has the same name as the vineyard cultivated on the right side of the hill, is particular in that it has older vines, and therefore has a distinct imprint. Pinot Nero Fortuni has a deep, brilliant, bright, ruby red colour, notes of cherry and currants on the nose, and silky but well integrated tannins which accompany a long and pleasant finish on the palate. An ideal wine to accompany succulent, flavoursome dishes and slow-cooked red meats: perfect for drinking with friends on a cold winter’s night. Read more Read less
THE WINERY

Podere Fortuna

In the north-west of Sardinia, in the hamlet of Guardia Grande in Alghero, stands Podere Guardia Grande, a young and dynamic reality immersed in a landscape still authentic. The estate develops on clay and red soils, kissed by the Mistral and driven by the sea salt that defines its identity. Here are born three unique territorial expressions: the Vermentino, fresh and savory, the Cannonau di Sardegna, rich and structured, and the Cagnulari, autochthonous vine of the area of Sassari. The evocative names of the labels - Saldenya, Alghé and Nascimento - tell the soul of the territory and the link between nature, culture and wine. Each bottle is the result of meticulous work in the vineyard and cellar, where respect for the environment guides every choice. Podere Guardia Grande best represents the richness of Sardinian red wines and the freshness of Sardinian white wines, Offering authentic labels that speak of the territory. Perfect for those who want to explore the intense scents and authentic taste of Sardinia, these wines are ideal for Mediterranean pairing and moments of sharing. Discover the entire range on Signorvino and let yourself be surprised by the expressive power of the Sardinian wines. Name and address producer/distributor: Podere Guardia Grande - Società Agricola Agribel SRL - Via Punta Cristallo, 40 – 07041 Alghero (SS).
