TASTING NOTES

Production

Frescobaldi is one of the most renowned historic wineries in Italy and the world, a cornerstone of Tuscany’s winemaking past and present. With centuries of history, over 1,200 hectares of vineyards, ancient estates and castles, as well as a forward-thinking entrepreneurial vision, the Frescobaldi winery is a benchmark in the production of elegant wines with timeless charm. Toscana Tenuta Luce is an icon of the estate, a Super Tuscan of great richness and energy, whose exceptional quality stems from the collaboration between Frescobaldi and the renowned Napa Valley oenologist Robert Mondavi. The result is a deep, elegant and structured wine made from Sangiovese and Merlot grapes aged in barriques for 24 months. Luce is a wine produced in the Montalcino region, at the Tenuta Luce estate of the same name, where the vineyards grow on the hillsides in truly favourable and ideal climatic conditions. It possesses great expressive power and a strong personality; robust, full-bodied, with great depth and remarkable elegance.

Organoleptic Characteristics

With its deep, brilliant ruby colour, it seduces with its broad aromatic spectrum, with scents that shift from floral and fruity notes towards balsamic and undergrowth sensations, set against an intriguing interplay of spicy nuances. On the palate, it is full-bodied, assertive and elegantly powerful, with captivating freshness and velvety tannins. Exuberant, structured, intense and simply exquisite.

Occasion and Pairing

With its endless elegance, it pairs well with mature cheeses and hearty dishes featuring red meats and game.

Serving Temperature

To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a temperature of 16–18°C.

THE WINERY

Frescobaldi

With a history dating back to the Middle Ages, when Florence was the most important commercial and cultural crossroads in the entire modern world, the Frescobaldi family has for centuries established itself as one of the largest wineries in Tuscany. The Frescobaldi vineyards extend for a total of 1200 hectares, distributed across several estates, each with a characteristic microclimate and terroir. The distinctive strength of this winery lies precisely in the ability of its managers to enhance the diversity and uniqueness of the Tuscan territory. Agronomists and oenologists collaborate to cultivate the vineyards in an environmentally friendly and eco-sustainable manner. Committed to this endeavor for 700 years now, the Frescobaldi family has expertly kept pace with innovation, masterfully interpreting the finest red wine labels, including Chianti, Brunello di Montalcino, and Rosso di Montalcino. But all the wines from the Frescobaldi winery contain a kaleidoscopic bouquet of aromas and flavours that gives them an exceptional personality, perceptible at the mere glance. Savor the wines of this historic Tuscan winery. Name and address manufacturer/distributor: Frescobaldi - Via Aretina, 120 - 50065 Sieci Florence (FI). The products of this winery should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
