TASTING NOTES

Founded by Gianni Masciarelli in 1981, the winery is a symbol of the utmost excellence in the production of modern Abruzzo wines. Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Marina Cvetic Riserva is one of the best Abruzzi red wines. In the glass, it has a bright ruby, almost impenetrable colour. It requires a few moments before its aromas are released. A bouquet of both cherry jam and brandied cherries, black cherry, rose and Mediterranean scrub. Delicate spicy notes of cinchona and liquorice round off the wine's bouquet. On the palate it reveals a full body and dense tannin with many ripe fruit undertones that make the taste smooth and lingering. Perfect with a beef fillet with truffle.

The Masciarelli Tenute Agricole winery, founded in 1981 by Gianni Masciarelli, is a symbol of the production of modern Abruzzo wines excellence. The combination of careful processing and enhancement of the land and the region's biodiversity combine to create high-quality wines that are an expression of Abruzzo's terroir. Cantina Masciarelli's vineyards are located in areas where the soil and climate characteristics contribute to enhancing the flavour of Abruzzo wines. The heart of the Masciarelli winery, not far from the province of Chieti, is San Martina sulla Marrucina, but the land extends over three other provinces of Abruzzo, totalling 300 hectares in 13 municipalities. The winery's wine production is therefore known for its variety, producing over 18 labels, including the traditional Trebbiano, Chardonnay and Montepulciano d’Abruzzo. The winery's activities have an unbreakable bond with the surrounding area, and it has always been attentive to the preservation of nature in order to offer unique products of great value.
