Tenimenti Leone is a young company that has been around for a few years. It is located near Rome, in the heart of Lazio, located exactly between the municipalities of Velletri and Lanuvio, in an important area from the naturalistic and artistic point of view, since these municipalities fall within the Parco Regionale dei Castelli Romani. This area is distinguished not only for the flora and fauna that host it, but also for the geological composition: the park extends in fact in the area of the ancient Lazio Volcano, which has also given rise to the basins of the present volcanic lakes of Nemi and Albano. It is therefore a particular terroir, able to imprint its essence within the products coming from this area. Lazio Rosso Pischello produced is a dry red wine, produced with a blend of Cesanese, Syrah and Merlot. Cesanese is an autochthonous variety of Lazio, so much so that the origins of its name derive from a city located near Rome, or Cesano. To this autochthonous grape were added two international varieties: Syrah, which usually gives spicy notes of black pepper, and Merlot, which brings a good acidity to the blend. The name given to this wine (Pischello), comes from the Roman dialect with which a young boy is identified, generally with a cheeky and playful connotation. This bottle was made in limited edition with a collaboration with the Fondazione Più di un Sogno: one of the few organizations in Italy that plans and delivers quality of life improvement programs aimed at the entire life cycle of families with children with neurodevelopment disorder. The organization was founded in 2007 on the initiative of six families from Verona with children with Down syndrome, who today have hand-drawn these labels bringing added value to the bottle. Prerogatives belonging to Lazio Rosso Pischello, since: to the glass appears a bright and intense ruby red; to the nose aromas of red fruit are accompanied by delicate vegetal notes and spicy nuances recalling black pepper. The palate is medium-bodied, fresh and pleasantly drinking, thanks to its aging in steel; perfect for every day, it is the ideal wine for any meal, even if it goes well with cold cuts. To fully appreciate the style, Pischello must be served at a service temperature of 16/18 ºC.
