TASTING NOTES

Production

Made from Carignano del Sulcis grapes harvested by hand and vinified in stainless steel with maceration for around two weeks, the wine is aged for 9 months in stainless steel tanks and 2 months in the bottle, preserving its freshness and terroir. Average values per 100 ml: 327 kJ/79 kcal

Organoleptic Characteristics

It has an intense ruby red colour; on the nose, it releases aromas of blackberry, cherry and Mediterranean scrub with spicy notes, whilst on the palate it is soft, enveloping and persistent, with velvety tannins and an elegant mineral savouriness.

Occasion and Pairing

Perfect with roasts, mixed grills, pasta dishes with meat sauce and cured meats; it also enhances the rich, spicy flavours of traditional Mediterranean cuisine.

Serving Temperature

To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a temperature of 16–18°C.

THE WINERY

Sa Raja

It was in Cramant that Maison Saint-Gybryen arose. The Cooperative is located in one of the 17 Champagne villages classified as Grand Cru, where the former headquarters of Moët & Chandon used to be. In 1977 fu created Champagne Saint-Gybryen, located on the Côte des Blancs and produced mainly in Blanc de Blancs. The leading grape variety for Champagne is Chardonnay, a grape with an incredible aromatic heritage that is also suitable for blending with other native varieties such as Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier.
