Grappa di Luce is the result of a collaboration between Tenuta Luce della Vite and the Jacopo Poli distillery, and is produced by distilling fresh, selected Sangiovese and Merlot pomace from the Montalcino estate. The pomace is distilled using traditional methods in steam stills according to the traditional Poli method, which preserves the aromatic integrity and elegance of the spirit. After distillation, the grappa is aged in oak barriques, where it develops softness, complexity and aromatic depth, whilst maintaining a refined and harmonious style.
It is clear to the eye, with a warm, luminous amber colour. On the nose, it is intense and elegant, with aromas of ripe fruit, vanilla and sweet spices, accompanied by notes of toasted wood, cocoa and light balsamic undertones. On the palate, it is smooth and enveloping, with a balanced structure, a well-integrated warmth and a long, persistent finish, in which the spicy and vanilla notes return.
A spirit of great distinction, ideal as a digestif or for a moment of contemplation. Perfect on its own, it pairs elegantly with dark chocolate, dry biscuits or fine cigars.
To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a temperature of 16–18°C.
