TASTING NOTES

Production

Grappa di Luce was born from the collaboration between Tenuta Luce della Vite and the Jacopo Poli distillery, and is obtained from the distillation of fresh and selected Sangiovese and Merlot pomace from Tenuta di Montalcino. The pomace is hand-distilled with steam stills according to the traditional Poli method, which allows for the preservation of aromatic integrity and elegance. After distillation, the grappa is refined in oak barriques, where it develops softness, complexity and aromatic depth, maintaining a refined and harmonious style.

Organoleptic Characteristics

It appears clear to the eye, with a warm, bright amber color. On the nose it is intense and elegant, with aromas of ripe fruit, vanilla and sweet spices, accompanied by notes of toasted wood, cocoa and light balsamic nuances. On the palate it is soft and enveloping, with a balanced structure, a well-integrated caloric sensation and a long and persistent finish, in which the spicy and vanilla notes return.

Occasion and Pairing

Distillate of great value, ideal as an end of meal or moment of meditation. Perfect for tasting on its own, it pairs elegantly with dark chocolate or dry pastry.

Serving Temperature

To best appreciate its complexity and elegance, a service temperature of 16/18°C is recommended

THE WINERY

Frescobaldi

Agronomists and oenologists collaborate to cultivate the vineyards in an environmentally friendly and eco-sustainable manner. Committed to this endeavor for 700 years now, the Frescobaldi family has expertly kept pace with innovation, masterfully interpreting the finest red wine labels, including Chianti, Brunello di Montalcino, and Rosso di Montalcino. But all the wines from the Frescobaldi winery contain a kaleidoscopic bouquet of aromas and flavours that gives them an exceptional personality, perceptible at the mere glance.
