TASTING NOTES

Starting after the Second World War, in Nogaredo (TN), in the heart of Vallagarina, Sabrina Marzadro and her brother Attilio undertook the art of distillation in the backyard by focusing on the grapes of local winemakers. In a short time, the courtyard of the two siblings became a bustle of carts full of pomace ready to be distilled, with their grappa immediately becoming popular in the bars of the area. Today, the Marzadro Distillery has reached the third generation with a distillation plant that sees as many as 8 discontinuous stills fed in a bain-marie, this means that the pomace is distilled with a much slower process capable of producing the best possible distillate. La Giare Amarone is a Trentino grappa that extends its hand to the nearby Valpolicella in a truly fascinating combination. The best pomace typical of Amarone, such as Corvina, Rondinella, Molinara, is selected and distilled and at the end of the process the grappa stays for 36 months in oak tonneaux, giving it a very bright amber colour. The bouquet is very refined and intense with clear toasted sensations of leather and tobacco with a sweet background of cocoa and sour cherries. On the palate, it has excellent softness and very long persistence. Perfect after dinner with close friends, meditating on the beautiful things in life like this bottle.

The Masciarelli Tenute Agricole winery, founded in 1981 by Gianni Masciarelli, is a symbol of the production of modern Abruzzo wines excellence.
