TASTING NOTES

Production

Garda Chardonnay Santa Cristina is a white wine produced in the hills around Lake Garda, an ideal area for viticulture. The Chardonnay grapes are selected and vinified using modern methods, preserving freshness and aromatic character. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, with some ageing in wooden barrels to add complexity. E = 315 kJ/75 kcal per 100 ml

Organoleptic Characteristics

Made exclusively from Chardonnay grapes, it has a bright straw-yellow colour. On the nose, aromas of hawthorn and cherry blossom gradually give way to fruity notes of green apple and apricot, with delicate hints of dried fruit, hazelnut and almond. On the palate, it is well-balanced, with pleasant citrus notes that balance the sweet notes of the Chardonnay grapes.

Occasion and Pairing

It pairs well with light dishes such as salads, fish carpaccio, seafood risotto and grilled fish, as well as white meats. Perfect for aperitifs, informal dinners and social gatherings.

Serving Temperature

To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a temperature of 8–10°C.

Allergens: Solfiti

THE WINERY

Zenato

After the end of the First World War, Cesare Zucchetto, a pharmacist from Valdobbiadene, Veneto, decided he wanted to help rebuild the exhausted region. Combining his passion for wine and viticulture with his knowledge of chemistry, he started his cultivation from a vineyard in the surrounding hills, in Cartizze Alto. The first product was a Prosecco of unbelievable quality, initially appreciated by families in the Veneto region and soon also outside the region. The actual expansion came with his son Paolo, who started cultivating new vineyards in the Valdobbiadene area and producing excellent sparkling wines using the Metodo Martinotti. Gradually, the winery's products began to be recognised and known internationally, also thanks to the spread of knowledge and general appreciation of Prosecco. Today, the vineyards are in the hands of Paolo, while his son Carlo Alberto is in charge of the winemaking, and he applies all his obsession for perfection in the production of wines of the best possible quality. Name and address of producer/distributor: Zucchetto Paolo - Via Cima, 16 – 31049, San Pietro di Barbozza di Valdobbiadene (TV). Products from this winery should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
