TASTING NOTES

Schioppettino MYO is a balsamic and spicy wine: the grapes macerate after harvesting for 15 days, with two daily pumping over and ferment in stainless steel tanks. The wine is then aged in new barriques for a period of 12 months, followed by malolactic fermentation. Pale ruby red in color with slight reflections that tend to garnet, Schioppettino di Zorzettig prevails on the nose with spicy sensations, enhanced by notes of very ripe red fruit. The palate is full-bodied, round and with a complex but soft sip. The finish is persistent. Perfect in combination with main courses based on game and red meat, it is also worth trying with a selection of aged cheeses. It is absolutely to be tasted with the typical dish of the Friulian tradition, brovada and muset. To fully appreciate its style, this red wine from Friuli should be served at a serving temperature of 18/20 ºC. Read more Read less
THE WINERY

Annalisa Zorzettig

The history of the Zorzettig family in wine begins more than 100 years ago, on the hills of Spessa di Cividale in the heart of the Colli Orientali del Friuli, an ideal place for viticulture thanks to a unique terroir and microclimate, protected by the Alps from the cold currents of the north and kissed by the breezes of the Adriatic Sea. The family produces about 800 thousand bottles divided between autochthonous and international. Nature, authenticity, evolution and quality are the words that guide the thought and work of Annalisa Zorzettig, who took over the management of the homonymous family winery. Name and address manufacturer/distributor: Annalisa Zorzettig - Strada di Sant'Anna, 37 - 33043 Spessa (UD). The products of this cellar should be stored in a cool and dry place away from heat sources.
