The two Friulano crus of I Clivi originate from two distinct vineyards, a few kilometres away from each other, which fall within two different DOC zones and also two distinct provinces, one in the Collio Goriziano and the other in the Colli Orientali of Friuli, covering a total area of 12 hectares. These two vineyards are called Brazan and Galea, respectively, and are rooted on soils whose geological component is practically identical, and it is therefore the microclimate, linked mainly to the winds, that is the determining factor in the differences in personality perceptible in the wines. The Galea comes from 70-year-old vines. Similarly to Brazan, it ages entirely in stainless steel, with an 18-month rest on fine lees, in which the white wine is enriched with its aromatic and flavour components. On the nose it is immediately reminiscent of flint and cut grass, and then gives way to a dense, structured palate, always sustained by a freshness and full flavour that make it an absolute quality product. A bottle to uncork for an aperitif with friends, as well as to pair with shellfish and fish based dishes, even river fish, or elaborate first courses.
