Production

Ape Regina was born with the intention of enhancing the aromas, the scents and the peculiarities of Chardonnay, as well as confirming the winemaking potential of Friuli-Venezia Giulia.

Organoleptic Characteristics

Intense yellow with bright golden reflections. To the nose stand out aromas of ripe white fruit, such as pear and peach, which then turn on notes of banana combined with hints of butter, vanilla and pastry. The mouthfeel is wide, rich and elegant: balance and softness prevail. Persistent and long, on the palate the fruity and rich notes present in the nose appear again, with tertiary aromas, vanilla among all, and fine due to the maturation in wood.

Occasion and Pairing

Perfect to combine with cheeses of medium ripening, a first course of pasta with white truffle or foie gras.

The aim of the Azienda Bastianich winery is to understand the history and culture of the area and to enhance it, taking it to a new level. The large Bastianich winery consists of 28 hectares (about 70 acres) and almost all of its vineyards are located in the Colli Orientali, in the Friuli DOC region.
