TASTING NOTES

The Azienda Agricola Bariselli Gabriella has been located in Erbusco since 1972, in the beating heart of Franciacorta, where the hilly terrain with morainic soil and the exceptional microclimate that Lake Iseo gives these lands, allow wines of elegant complexity and aromatic richness to be produced. The vineyards of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes have always been carefully controlled at all stages of production, from harvesting to fermentation and all stages of the sparkling wine production process. Gabriella Bariselli's Franciacorta Satèn is a sparkling wine made only from Chardonnay grapes. Resulting from a careful and accurate selection and resting on lees for more than 30 months, the wine expresses itself with elegance and creaminess. Intense straw yellow and creamy perlage, on the nose it offers fresh aromas of citrus and white flowers. On the palate, with its seductive, creamy perlage, it is fresh, lively and decidedly satisfying. This wine is perfect for a refined toast, whether as an aperitif or while enjoying delicate fish based dishes. Read more Read less
THE WINERY

Gabriella Bariselli

The Gaja winery is a historic and renowned entity in Piedmont, a symbol of the production of Barbaresco, named after the town it is in. Since 1859, handing down the passion for quality wine from father to son, this company has established itself on the wine scene not only in Italy, but worldwide. Gaja counts more than 92 hectares of vineyards in the heart of the Langhe, a land that has always been the mother of white wines from Piedmont of excellence. The rows also include local red varieties, made unmistakably vigorous by the properties of the soil. But terrain alone is not enough. In fact, the Gaja winery can boast a great team that has always been attentive to respecting traditions and adopting new production techniques. Intelligence, intuition and perseverance make Gaja wines delicate in flavour but strong in their expression of the land and the hard work of the founding family. Name and address of producer/distributor: Gaja - Via Torino, 18, 12050 Barbaresco (CN). Products from this winery should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
