TASTING NOTES

Franciacorta Rosé di Boccadoro consists of 55% Chardonnay and 45% Pinot Noir grapes, from vineyards located in the gentle and sunny hills that extend between Calino and Cazzago, with southern exposureest. The harvest of the grapes is done entirely by hand at different times depending on the right degree of ripeness for each vine. The noble wines of Boccadoro are obtained by applying a rigorous vinification protocol. Pinot Noir remains in contact with the skins for 12-24 hours to extract the color, structure and typical characters of Franciacorta Rosé. The aging takes place for a minimum of 25 months on the lees in the cellar of the winery. To the glass Franciacorta Rosé is presented with nuances that go from ancient rose to bright copper with the advance of aging, recalling the sunsets of the hills. Fine and persistent perlage. The nose is perceived aromas of berries intertwined with the typical aromas of raspberries and rose petals. On the palate, hints of ripe fruits, honey and residual sugar that create a general sensation of softness and elegance. Excellent as an aperitif, it goes perfectly with delicate appetizers of fish or vegetables. To fully appreciate the style, Franciacorta Rosé must be served at a service temperature of 8/10 ºC. THE WINERY

Boccadoro

Cantina Boccadoro is young but the experience and passion come from the Lussignoli family, which has a great winemaking tradition behind it. The first Boccadoro label arose in 2014, but actually the company decided to opt for organic farming from the very beginning, exposing itself to the intervention of nature and paying more attention to the vineyards and their development. The soils, located in Cazzago San Martino, are all owned by the Lussignoli family. They are mostly stony and calcareous, giving the wine full flavour, minerality and freshness. The proximity to Lake Iseo and the presence of its winds play a very important role in guaranteeing the perfect microclimate for the production of top-quality wines, with a good temperature range and optimal ventilation for dry, firm grapes. From this magical place, Franciacorta presents itself as it is: a clearly visible amphitheatre. Name and address of producer/distributor: Cantina Boccadoro, Via Loc. Boschi, n.10 25046 Cazzago San Martino (BS). Products from this winery should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
