The two Friulano crus of I Clivi originate from two distinct vineyards, a few kilometres away from each other, which fall within two different designation of origin areas and also two distinct provinces, one in the Collio Goriziano and the other in the Colli Orientali of Friuli, covering a total area of 12 hectares. These two vineyards bear the names of Brazan and Galea respectively and have their roots in soils with a virtually identical geological component, which means that the microclimate, mainly linked to the winds, is the determining factor in the different personalities perceptible in the wines. The Brazan comes from 80-year-old vines. Similarly to Galea, it ages entirely in stainless steel, with an 18-month rest on the fine lees, in which the white wine is enriched with its aromatic and flavour components. The bright colour, scent of wild flowers, anise and pink grapefruit, which give way to marked balsamic notes, full-bodied on the palate but supported by a full flavour in the mouth, make Brazan a Friulian wine of great depth. It can be opened for an aperitif with friends, as well as enjoyed as an accompaniment to white meat, fish and shellfish dishes.
