Frerejean Frères’ Premier Cru Rosé Champagne is an expression of great refinement that embodies the artisanal and contemporary style of the Avize-based Maison. The production is based on a skilful blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir sourced exclusively from Premier Cru vineyards in the Côte des Blancs. The distinctive feature of this cuvée lies in the addition of a small percentage of high-quality still red wine and an ageing on the lees lasting at least three years, ensuring a complexity that goes far beyond the simple freshness of the fruit. 100 ml: E=271 kJ/65 kcal
In the glass, it reveals a brilliant salmon-pink colour, marked by a fine, persistent perlage. On the nose, the bouquet is seductive and harmonious: notes of crisp red berries, such as raspberry and wild strawberry, stand out, intertwining with hints of candied citrus and a subtle pastry note of brioche. On the palate, the Champagne impresses with its balance between the typical liveliness of Chardonnay and the velvety structure of Pinot Noir; the taste is fresh, deep and characterised by a chalky minerality that leads to a long, beautifully clean finish.
Thanks to its elegance and gastronomic character, this Rosé is perfect not only as a prestigious aperitif, but also as an accompaniment to refined dishes. It pairs magnificently with tuna or salmon carpaccio, grilled shellfish and Asian dishes that are not too spicy. Its structure also allows it to hold its own alongside delicate white meats or desserts featuring wild berries, making it a versatile and highly appealing choice for any special occasion.
To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a serving temperature of 8/10°C.
