Egly-Ouriet’s Extra Brut Les Prémices Champagne is made from Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier grapes sourced from Premier and Grand Cru vineyards in the Montagne de Reims. Viticulture is carried out with great attention to the soil and the vitality of the vines. Vinification involves spontaneous fermentation and ageing in small oak barrels, followed by the second fermentation according to the traditional Champagne method. The Extra Brut dosage is very low, to highlight precision, structure and terroir.
Bright golden yellow in colour with a fine, continuous perlage. On the nose, it reveals notes of ripe citrus, apple, dried fruit and white flowers, with hints of bread crust, light honey and mineral undertones. On the palate, it is rich and structured, with great tension, savouriness and a long, deep and elegant finish.
A gastronomic Champagne with great character, ideal for haute cuisine. It pairs well with shellfish, fine fish, white meats and complex dishes.
To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a temperature of 8–10°C.
