TASTING NOTES

Production

The Champagne Extra Brut 7 Crus from Agrapart is born from the union of grapes from seven prestigious crus in the Côte des Blancs and surrounding areas, selected to best express purity, tension and territorial identity. The main grape variety is Chardonnay, alongside a small percentage of Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. The harvest is manual and the pressing soft. Fermentation takes place mainly in steel, with attention to preserving freshness and aromatic precision. The foam setting follows the Champenois Method, with a long stop on the yeasts that gives complexity and depth. The Extra Brut dosage is minimal, designed to enhance minerality and expressive transparency.

Organoleptic Characteristics

It looks bright straw yellow and has a fine, continuous perlage. On the nose it offers an elegant and tense profile, with notes of fresh citrus, green apple and white flowers, accompanied by hints of chalk, yeast and light nuances of baking. On the palate it is vibrant and vertical, with a marked freshness, a marked flavour and a precise and slender structure. The finish is long, dry and deeply mineral.

Occasion and Pairing

Champagne of great precision and character, ideal for refined aperitifs and dedicated tastings. It pairs perfectly with oysters, shellfish, seafood, sushi, and raw or slightly processed fish dishes.

Serving Temperature

To enhance its freshness and mineral tension, a service temperature of 8/10°C is recommended.

THE WINERY

Agrapart

Agrapart is a benchmark name for those who seek authentic Champagne, a sincere expression of the Cote des Blancs terroir. The maison, with deep roots in Avize at the heart of Champagne, has carried forward for generations a family project founded on respect for nature and the valorization of Chardonnay, the region’s emblematic grape. Agrapart’s winemaking philosophy is guided by transparency and purity: each cuvée is born from sustainable agricultural practices and meticulous vineyard work aimed at preserving the vitality of the soils and the identity of each parcel. The vineyards extend across some of the most prestigious crus of the Cote des Blancs, Avize, Cramant, Oger, and Oiry, characterized by chalky soils that lend the wines tension, finesse, and mineral depth. Low yields and hand harvesting ensure grapes of exceptional quality, while in the cellar, vinification takes place through spontaneous fermentations and long aging on the lees, often in small oak barrels, in harmony with natural rhythms. Each bottle of Agrapart embodies a constant pursuit of balance between tradition and artisanal precision, telling the inseparable story of man, grape, and terroir. The maison’s Champagnes are distinguished by their elegance, purity, and capacity to evolve over time, reflecting a philosophy that places authenticity at its core. Name and address producer/distributor: Champagne Agrapart et Fils - 57 Av. Jean Jaurès, 51190 Avize, France. Products from this winery should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
