Louis Roederer's Brut Vintage Champagne is born exclusively in the vintages considered particularly favorable and represents the most authentic expression of the Maison's style in a vintage version. The grapes come from the best crus of the Montagne de Reims and the Vallée de la Marne, from proprietary vineyards grown according to sustainable practices. The blend is mainly composed of Pinot Noir, with the addition of Chardonnay, collected manually at full ripeness. Winemaking takes place plot by plot, partly in steel and partly in large oak barrels, to preserve purity, structure and balance. The froth setting follows the Champenois Method, with a long aging on the yeasts that gives the wine complexity, depth and the ability to evolve. The Brut dosage is calibrated to express harmony and elegance.
It appears to be a deep straw yellow color with golden reflections, crossed by a fine and persistent perlage. On the nose it is elegant and complex, with scents of white and yellow-fleshed fruit, apple, pear and peach, accompanied by notes of citrus, bread crust, yeast and delicate mineral nuances. On the palate it is full and structured, with a creamy bubble, a well-integrated freshness and a long, harmonious and refined gustatory persistence.
Champagne of great class and versatility, ideal for special occasions but also to accompany the entire meal. It pairs perfectly with structured fish dishes, shellfish, refined white meats, elegant first courses and medium-aged cheeses.
To best enhance its complexity and balance, a service temperature of 8/10°C is recommended.
