Maison Moët & Chandon was founded by Claude Moët and is one of the world’s leading Champagne houses. A global icon of tradition and savoir-faire, its underground cellars are the largest in the Champagne region and provide the ideal setting for bottle ageing. Moët Brut Réserve Impérial is made from Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay grapes. A rich and intense Champagne, it was first produced in 1869 and has retained its charm and reputation ever since, proving itself year after year as one of the most sought-after and appreciated bottles by the public. Champagne Réserve Impérial is vinified and undergoes secondary fermentation in the bottle, resting on the lees for at least 36 months, which enhances its organoleptic qualities and gives it a smoother, creamier body. Moët Brut Réserve Impérial presents itself to the eye with an intense colour and golden highlights, enhanced by a fine, elegant perlage. The bouquet features fresh, fruity varietal notes, such as ripe yellow fruit, and rounded aromas of hazelnut, sweet spices and candied citrus. Peaches, apricots, dates and dried fruit delicately round off the olfactory profile. The attack on the palate is smooth, warm and enveloping. From this perfect harmony, composed of dynamism and delicacy, one can clearly recognise the style of Maison Moët & Chandon and the signature of chef de cave Benoit Gouez, one of Champagne’s most distinguished and talented oenologists.
Recommended with first courses, such as mushroom risotto or tagliatelle with white meat.
To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a temperature of 8–10°C.
