TASTING NOTES

Production

Champagne Brut Grande Réserve is produced by the Frerejean Frères house using carefully selected Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Meunier grapes. This new cuvée undergoes a shorter ageing period on the lees, which highlights its freshness and acidity, well balanced by softness and richness. The result is an enjoyable and versatile Champagne, without losing any of its elegance and grace. E (100ml) = 271 kJ / 65 kcal

Organoleptic Characteristics

Pale straw yellow in colour, with a fine, persistent perlage. The nose reveals delicate floral aromas, fruity notes and hints of baked goods; on the palate it is round and smooth, yet balanced by a touch of freshness, with good length.

Occasion and Pairing

Try it as an aperitif or paired with a selection of raw seafood.

THE WINERY

Frerejean Frères

Frerejean Frères is a young and dynamic Champagne house founded in 2005 by brothers Guillaume, Rodolphe, and Richard Frerejean Taittinger, members of the renowned Taittinger family in the Champagne world. The winery is based in Avize, in the heart of the Côte des Blancs, one of the most prestigious areas of the region. Frerejean Frères stands out for its artisanal production of high-quality Champagne, using grapes sourced exclusively from Grand and Premier Cru parcels of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, with vines over 40 years old. The house's production philosophy emphasizes minimal use of sulfites and low dosage, favoring the authentic expression of the terroir. Each cuvée is aged on the lees for at least six years, while vintage versions rest in the cellar for eight years or more, imparting complexity and depth to the wines. Frerejean Frères represents a new generation of producers who combine tradition and innovation, contributing to the "grower Champagne" movement and gaining the attention of enthusiasts and critics for the excellence of their cuvées. Producer/Distributor Name and Address: Frerejean Frères – 66 Rue Pasteur, 51190 Avize (France). The products from this winery should be stored in a cool, dry place away from sources of heat.
