TASTING NOTES

Production

Louis Roederer’s Champagne Brut Cristal is crafted from a meticulous selection of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes sourced from the finest Grand Crus of Champagne. Produced only in the most prestigious vintages, it is partially aged in oak to enhance its complexity and elegance. The second fermentation follows the traditional Champagne method, with a long ageing on the lees that imparts depth, finesse and an extraordinary capacity for development.

Organoleptic Characteristics

Bright golden yellow in colour with a very fine, persistent perlage. The nose is elegant and complex, with notes of ripe citrus, peach, dried fruit and white flowers, accompanied by hints of brioche, honey and subtle mineral undertones. On the palate, it is creamy and refined, with great freshness, balance and a long, harmonious and persistent finish.

Occasion and Pairing

An iconic and highly prestigious Champagne, ideal for special occasions and fine dining. It pairs perfectly with shellfish, caviar, refined fish and delicate dishes.

Serving Temperature

To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a temperature of 8–10°C.

THE WINERY

Louis Roederer

The history of Cantina Valerio Lucarelli is long and very interesting. In fact, its production has been uninterrupted for over two hundred years. It was founded in 1791 in San Ginesio, in the province of Macerata, in the Marche region, and has been involved in the production of high-quality wines ever since. Year after year, it has accumulated all kinds of secrets and knowledge about viticulture, handed down from generation to generation and guarded with passion. In the course of time, we have also opened up to some innovations, merging the oldest techniques with modern, cutting-edge ones. The Sangiovese vine variety predominates in the territory of the Vernaccia di Serrapetrona controlled and guaranteed designation of origin. Part of the cultivation is also dedicated to Cabernet Sauvignon vines. Respect for the soil and its characteristics always comes first, of course, as does great care for the vines at every stage. The end result is high-quality wines from the Marche region that tell the company’s oldest story one glass at a time. Name and address of producer/distributor: Lucarelli - Contrada San Costanzo, 43 - 62026 San Ginesio MC. Products from this winery should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
