TASTING NOTES

Production

Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo Superiore Villa Gemma di Masciarelli is made from Montepulciano grapes grown in Abruzzo, selected from vineyards designed to best express freshness and aromatic intensity. The harvest is manual and the winemaking involves a short maceration on the skins, which gives the typical waxy color. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled steel, followed by a refinement that maintains the wine's fragrant and elegant profile. 100 ml: E=333 kJ/82 kcal

THE WINERY

Masciarelli

The Masciarelli Tenute Agricole winery, founded in 1981 by Gianni Masciarelli, is a symbol of the production of modern Abruzzo wines excellence. The combination of careful processing and enhancement of the land and the region's biodiversity combine to create high-quality wines that are an expression of Abruzzo's terroir. Cantina Masciarelli's vineyards are located in areas where the soil and climate characteristics contribute to enhancing the flavour of Abruzzo wines. The heart of the Masciarelli winery, not far from the province of Chieti, is San Martina sulla Marrucina, but the land extends over three other provinces of Abruzzo, totalling 300 hectares in 13 municipalities. The winery's wine production is therefore known for its variety, producing over 18 labels, including the traditional Trebbiano, Chardonnay and Montepulciano d’Abruzzo. The winery's activities have an unbreakable bond with the surrounding area, and it has always been attentive to the preservation of nature in order to offer unique products of great value. Name and address of producer/distributor: Masciarelli - Contrada Gamberale, 2, 66010 San Martino sulla Marrucina (CH). Products from this winery should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
