TASTING NOTES

After fermentation and an 18-day maceration, the wine is aged for 12 months in French oak barriques. It then undergoes a further 6-month bottle aging. The Merlot harvest typically takes place in the first half of September, while the Cabernet Sauvignon is usually picked in the latter part of the month. Each variety is vinified separately in stainless steel tanks, where alcoholic fermentation takes place, followed by a maceration on the skins lasting about 28 days. Before the final blend, the wines are aged for 12 months in French oak barriques. This Bolgheri Rosso stands out for its intense, bright red color, with purple reflections. On the nose, the aromatic bouquet is rich and complex, with notes of wild berries, jam, plum, and violet, intertwined with hints of roasted coffee, tobacco, and leather. The finish is soft, with delicate touches of vanilla. On the palate, there is a perfect balance between powerful structure and the elegance of the mouthfeel, enhanced by well-integrated tannins and a slightly balsamic aftertaste. A versatile wine, it pairs wonderfully with refined dishes based on red meats and game. To fully appreciate its style, Le Difese should be served at a temperature of 18-20°C. Read more Read less
THE WINERY

Bell'Aja

The origins of this reality have their roots in the Etruscan era, as evidenced by the finds found in the estate, attributable to the peoples of Etruria. These redesigned the landscape of Chianti, transforming a territory dominated by pastoralism in an agricultural area, beginning the cultivation of vines. Today, San Felice is known as the home of three of the most prestigious wineries in Tuscany. The vineyards extend in the three most renowned wine areas of the region: Chianti Classico with 150 hectares, about 400 meters above sea level, where the harmonious balance between soil and microclimate is perfect, Campogiovanni with 23 hectares located on the south-facingMontalcino, surrounded by valleys and rivers, and Bolgheri with 15 hectares beautifully overlooking the sea, with vines planted on silty-sandy soil. Name and address of producer/distributor: Società Agricola San Felice S.p.A. - Piazza Tre Torri 3, 20145 Milano (MI). The products of this cellar should be stored in a cool and dry place away from heat sources.
