Production

After a meticulous selection of the finest bunches, the first fermentation takes place in large oak vats, followed by long macerations with the cap submerged, as per tradition. It is then transferred to large Austrian oak barrels where malolactic fermentation takes place, and it ages for 6 years before bottling.

Organoleptic Characteristics

Barolo Riserva Monfortino presents itself in the glass with a vivid, iridescent garnet red colour. The nose is a poignant portrait of the Langhe, dominated by aromas of wild rose, violet and cherry. On the palate, one is struck by a unique experience, building to a long finish and exceptional persistence.

To be tasted at least once in a lifetime, by the fireside or paired with blue-veined or mature cheeses.
