Barolo Margheria di Massolino was born in the historic MGA of the same name in Serralunga d'Alba, one of the most suitable and prestigious areas of Barolo, characterized by calcareous-clayey soils that give it structure and longevity. It is produced exclusively from Nebbiolo grapes, from vineyards cultivated with great attention to yields and quality. The harvest is manual and the winemaking takes place in steel, with prolonged macerations to extract complexity and elegance. The aging takes place in large Slavonian oak barrels for a long time, followed by further aging in the bottle which allows the wine to achieve harmony and balance, in full respect of the Massolinian tradition.
It appears to be a deep ruby red color with garnet reflections. On the nose it is deep and elegant, with scents of ripe cherry, plum and small red fruits, accompanied by notes of withered rose, licorice, fine spices, tobacco and light balsamic nuances. On the palate it is structured and powerful, with important but refined tannins, a vibrant freshness and a deep and coherent taste texture. The ending is long, persistent and harmonious, with great personality and the ability to evolve over time.
Barolo of great character and longevity, ideal for important occasions and for moments of conscious tasting. It pairs beautifully with red meats, roasts, braised meats, game, traditional Piedmontese dishes and aged cheeses.
To best enhance its structure and elegance, a service temperature of 16/18°C is recommended.
