TASTING NOTES

Production

Barolo Ceretta is made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes, a wine that is intense, prestigious, and highly elegant. The vinification process is done in red with a long maceration on the skins, followed by aging for 40 months in large barrels. The wine then completes its refinement in the bottle.

Organoleptic Characteristics

In the glass, Barolo Ceretta presents an intense garnet red color. The bouquet expresses floral aromas of violet, dried rose petals, aromatic herbs, and delicate spices. The finish reveals hints of tobacco, rhubarb, and balsamic nuances. On the palate, it is rich and full-bodied, with a decisive, deep taste that showcases great complexity and flavor persistence. The tannins are dense and well-evolved, and the finish is pleasantly refreshing.

Occasion and Pairing

It pairs beautifully with hearty dishes that require long cooking times, such as braised lamb shank, game meats, or aged cheeses.

Serving Temperature

To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a temperature of 16-18°C.

Allergens: Solfiti

THE WINERY

Conterno

In the municipality of Monforte d'Alba, in the Piedmont countryside, lies the Conterno Winery. Here, the family of the same name that founded the winery is committed to producing and bottling its Barolo in search of the best balance and perfect quality. The winery's constant work has allowed it to evolve into the great establishment it is today, where the oldest traditions are still carefully followed, alongside the most modern and avant-garde techniques, to offer high-quality Piedmontese wines and unmistakably stylish red wines from Piedmont. Since it was founded, the fame of Conterno wines has spread throughout the area, giving the winery a meteoric rise. The success, however, has not affected the stable foundations of the family, which still works together in its production chain today. Their strengths remain the same: care for tradition, a search for expression of the terroir and a deep respect for what Piedmontese nature has to offer. Name and address of producer/distributor: Conterno - Via Ginestra, 1, 12065 Monforte d'Alba (CN). Products from this winery should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
