TASTING NOTES

Production

Attention and care are given at every stage of production, from the manual selection of the grapes to the gentle pressing, followed by fermentation and aging, which takes place in oak barrels for over 48 months.

Organoleptic Characteristics

It is a majestic Barolo, with an alluring structure and elegant intensity. Brilliant ruby red in the glass, on the nose it expresses its full intensity of red fruit, spices, balsamic sensations, fresh notes of red orange, and darker hints of leather and underbrush. Austere yet at the same time soft and seductive, on the palate it confirms its great power, depth, and masterful balance, with caressing tannins. Of enchanting harmony, it has extraordinary elegance and an endless finish.

Occasion and Pairing

It pairs wonderfully with important dishes that require long cooking times, such as lamb shank, game-based dishes, or aged cheeses.

Serving Temperature

To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a temperature of 16-18°C.

Allergens: Solfiti

THE WINERY

Conterno

In the municipality of Monforte d'Alba, in the Piedmont countryside, lies the Conterno Winery. Here, the family of the same name that founded the winery is committed to producing and bottling its Barolo in search of the best balance and perfect quality. The winery's constant work has allowed it to evolve into the great establishment it is today, where the oldest traditions are still carefully followed, alongside the most modern and avant-garde techniques, to offer high-quality Piedmontese wines and unmistakably stylish red wines from Piedmont. Since it was founded, the fame of Conterno wines has spread throughout the area, giving the winery a meteoric rise. The success, however, has not affected the stable foundations of the family, which still works together in its production chain today. Their strengths remain the same: care for tradition, a search for expression of the terroir and a deep respect for what Piedmontese nature has to offer. Name and address of producer/distributor: Conterno - Via Ginestra, 1, 12065 Monforte d'Alba (CN). Products from this winery should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
