Luciano Sandrone’s Barolo Cannubi Boschis originates from the Barolo cru of the same name, one of the appellation’s most renowned and renowned historic vineyards. It is produced exclusively from Nebbiolo grapes, hand-selected from low-yield vineyards and cultivated with great attention to quality. Vinification takes place in stainless steel with long, gentle maceration on the skins to extract structure, aromas and elegant tannins without losing finesse. Ageing takes place in French oak barriques and tonneaux, partly new and partly second-use, for a period of approximately 18–24 months, followed by further bottle ageing to complete the harmony and complexity. The style aims to combine depth, elegance and longevity, typical of the Cannubi Boschis cru.
Visually, it presents an intense ruby red colour with garnet highlights. On the nose, it is refined and complex, with aromas of ripe cherry, plum and wild berries, accompanied by floral notes of rose and violet, sweet spices, cocoa, tobacco and light balsamic and mineral nuances. On the palate, it is elegant and structured, with silky tannins, vibrant freshness and a balanced, deep flavour profile. The finish is long, persistent and harmonious, with fruity, spicy and mineral notes that highlight its terroir-driven character.
A Barolo of great elegance and complexity, ideal for special occasions and connoisseur tastings. It pairs magnificently with red meats, braised dishes, roasts, game and high-quality mature cheeses.
To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a temperature of 16–18°C.
