TASTING NOTES

Production

The grapes for Barolo Albe were harvested by hand in October. Each bunch was selected three times: directly in the vineyard, as whole bunches on the sorting tables, and finally, berry by berry after destemming. Vinification took place in truncated-conical vats, with gentle pumping over and punching down. Malolactic fermentation took place in steel tanks. The wine was then aged for 26 months in large Slavonian oak barrels of 40, 50 and 75 hectolitres.

Organoleptic Characteristics

The Albe 2020 is expressive on the nose with aromas of cherry, roses and sweet spices. The palate displays great energy and liveliness, with a youthful tannin structure and a generous mouthfeel, enriched by notes of raspberries and orange zest. A Barolo with a persistent finish.

Occasion and Pairing

Suitable for stewed red meat dishes, game and mature cheeses.

Serving Temperature

To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a temperature of 16–18°C.

Allergens: Solfiti
